Guidelines for Internal Procedures in Public Authorities

The Public Interest Disclosure Act 2003 aims to facilitate the disclosure of public interest information and to provide protection for those who make disclosures and for those who are the subject of disclosures. The Act provides for the Commissioner for Public Sector Standards to produce Guidelines for Internal Procedures in Public Authorities.

The guidelines are designated for use by all proper authorities to meet the requirements of the public interest disclosure legislation.

Changes may be made to these guidelines from time to time. All public authorities will be informed when this occurs and the changes will be available on this website.
